I use the term ‘PSAnxiety’ because I was noticing that every time it came around, the time for me to recheck my PSA, I would start feeling this low-grade anxiousness creeping in.
I have long used the technique of manifesting (a type of reframing) to visualize a positive outcome, trying to avoid a stress reaction in the first place. I had my most recent PSA test on Monday and visualized a positive, undetectable result as I was walking away from the lab. For me, that works wonders. (And yes, it was the result I believed. 😀)
